Dame Helen Mirren is currently in talks to play the role of famous film maker’s wife, Alma Reville. Paramount is to make a biopic drama and the project is looking promising after talks. The film has been in development for some time Anthony Hopkins is set to play the lead if all goes ahead. The script is written by John McLaughlin and Stephen Rebello. McLaughlin worked on Black Swan and Robello wrote a book that chronicled the time Hitchcock tried to get Psycho made and the obstacles he overcame. The plot focuses on Hitchcock’s battles with the studios to get Psycho made despite the fact that he was at the height of his profession. The movie is to be directed by Sasha Gervaisi which could begin shooting in April. This could be an interesting insight into one of the greatest movie makers of all time, with Mirren and Hopkins on board it is sure to be successful.
