The trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comic creation, The Dictator, has been released online. The film is “officially” described as ‘The heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.’ While his movies generally cut close to the bone, the recent events in the Middle East ensure that his latest character is even more controversial than usual. Starring alongside Sacha Baron Cohen are Megan Fox, Sir Ben Kingsly and a host of other character actors. His last film Bruno, wasn’t anywhere near the commercial or critical success of Borat, with the trailer looking funny but not hilarious, it’ll be interesting to see how The Dictator does on release.
