Still time to remake that 60 second version of Inception. The Done in 60 Seconds category is always fantastic at the annual Empire awards.
Our friends at Jameson are running the Done in 60 Seconds competition asking budding filmmakers to remake their favourite movie in into a mere minute of screen time. Entrants will have their 60 Second masterpiece viewed by a panel of leading professionals, including the acclaimed director Jim Sheridan. It's a great stepping stone for any aspiring film maker as the overall winner gets to collect their ‘Done in 60 Seconds’ award live on stage at the Jameson Empire Awards in March 2012 in front a room full of filmmakers.
Chris O’Dowd, 2012 Jameson Empire Done in 60 Seconds ambassador, gives this piece of advice for entrants: “Done in 60 Seconds is such a fun award and it always produces a few surprises! It’s not easy squashing an entire film into a minute so to stand out you have to be original and clever. My main piece of advice is just to entertain!”
