Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, David Fincher and Alexander Payne all lost out to Michel Hazanavicius, who was named best director at the Directors Guild of America awards over the weekend. This, for all you award fans is possibly a sign of things to come when the Oscars arrive. That said, a woman shitting into a sink is also nominated for an Oscar, so this year, more so than others, you can never tell. Anyway, congrats to Michel Hazanavicius who has been at the helm of an absolutely amazing movie.
