Darren Aronofsky’s is looking for a star for Noah. Yes, that biblical Noah…and his big ass boat. And by all accounts, Russell Crowe could well be playing Noah, once everybody smiles, nods and signs on the dotted line.
And according to the rumours, Aronofsky is also interested in offering Liam Neeson a role. I’d presume Neeson will play the flood at the end of the movie? Oh the humour.
Paramount and New Regency want to start shooting Noah this summer and the movie would be released at some point in 2013.
Last year, Aronofsky tested out the story in graphic novel style, which you can watch a trailer for below. With Spielberg close to signing for a Moses movie, the next few years could be quite biblical for movie goers. Provided we survive the end of the world on December 21st, we might just need such movies in the years to come.
