While Steven Soderbergh's Haywire can be filed under 'disappointing', one thing that was clear was lead actress and mma fighter Gina Carano has the makings of an action movie star, handling all her own stunts and selling some pretty realistic fight scenes. She will soon be at it again, having signed on for Boyz in the Hood and Four Brothers director John Singleton's In The Blood.
The story is along the same lines as Taken with Carano taking on the role of a wife whose husband disappears while they are on vacation in the Caribbean. Racked with grief, the wife hunts down the men she believes kidnapped and killed him.
Production is expected to begin in the late spring or early summer in Puerto Rico, with stunt team 8711, who worked with Carano on Haywire, in talks to re-team with the actress.
