We’ll forget about Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and Dream House can be left forgotten too. More recently Jim Sheridan had success with Brothers and now the director is going back into the west (sorry). The original movie hit the big screen back in 1992 with the likes of Gabriel Byrne and Colm Meaney, as well as a host of other incredible talent. Jim Sheridan is looking to do an update to the movie for an American audience with a reimaging set in a new US setting. And by all accounts, the Irish Film Board have granted the project 50K!
How the story is going to get an American slant is beyond me, but then again, I’m not the Oscar nominee that Sheridan is. The original trailer for Into The West is below, so you can get an idea of what might be coming your way stateside!
