It would seem to be an age of Re-boots and I know what everyone is thinking what does the world really needs right now? if you guessed world peace and a better economy your probably right but perhaps a second thought would be a re-boot of none other than national lampoon’s vacation. The film which will focus on a now grown up Rusty who gets into his own misadventures with his family ahs been in the works for almost three years now and finally has its director in place. The film will be directed by none other than John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (both worked on horrible bosses together), the pair who are best known for writing have been attached to the film as writers since 2009 and have now been asked to direct.
The film which will simply be called vacation dropping the national lampoon’s originally had David Dobkin attached to direct and produce but he has since moved on so they have turned to the writers to step in. Neither Daley nor Goldstein have directed anything more than a short film before but have a lot of experience around big films and should be looking to take a big step forward in their careers with this film. Before the pair tackle this latest re-boot they will finish work on a horrible bosses sequel, but for those who just love the Griswold family it now appears the dream has become a reality and nothing it appears can now stop this being made, if that will be a good thing for humanity remains to be seen.
