Including myself, people have been questioning the name change on the new Avengers Poster. Gone is The Avengers and in is Avengers Assemble. I’ve been in touch with the folks at Disney and this is what they said
“In the UK and Ireland it has been renamed Marvel’s Avengers Assemble to differentiate it from the UK TV series.”
So there! Personally, I don’t think it would have caused much confusion, but then what would I know. It does roll off the tongue though, granted how many people will ask “Tickets for The Avengers Assemble” at cinemas come April. Anyway, here’s another excuse to look at the brilliant poster.
