Also in the mix are The Wachowski brothers who directed and were heavily involved in the Matrix franchise. It is planned to be released this summer in an official capacity with a possible Television airing in 2013, it will also be rolled out in college film classrooms. Side by Side will premier at the Berlin International Film Festival this Wednesday. Chris Kennealy had this to say "Cinema is at a tipping point. Digital has challenged, and in some ways completely overturned, a process of making movies on photochemical film that has been a tradition for over one hundred years," he went to add "Side by Side is an intimate conversation between Keanu and the top professionals in the industry about this revolution and its impact." The deal was negotiated with Nick Savva, director of aquistions for Tribeca alongside producer Justin Szlasa and attorney Marc Simon of Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP. An interesting documentary for sure for students of cinema.
