In a piece of news that had me grinning ear to ear, details were dropped last year that a second sequel to the time traveling slacker comedy Bill And Ted's Excellent Journey was in the works. Star Keanu Reeves revealed that the plot would revolve around the duo trying to fulfil their destiny of writing the greatest song ever, which in movie lore would help create a Utopian future society.
Now both main stars of the movie, Reeves (Ted) and Alex Winters (Bill), have confirmed that a script is done, and they are moving forward with the project. Speaking to The Independent, Reeves said, "Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script too." Winters went on Twitter to say, "Script done? Check. We Love it? Check. Greenlight? Working on it!".
I really hope this movie goes forward, but the only sad thing is it will go forward without the great George Carlin as the duo's future guide Rufus, who sadly passed away in 2008.
