Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed for the role of Janet Leigh in the anticipated The Making of Psycho which will be directed by Sacha Gervasi and will also include screen legends Anthony Hopkins and Dame Helen Mirren playing Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville. The film chronicles the great man’s struggle to get the iconic movie made and his ongoing battles with the film studios. It was suggested at the time by one executive that the concept of the film was ridiculous and would never work, Thankfully Hitchcock was allowed to realise his vision and the rest as they say is cinematic history. The movie is based on the bestselling book of the same name written by John McLaughlin, Tom Thayer and Stephen Rebello. The trio have written the script, now with Scarlett Johansson on board the film could shoot in theory in the next month or so, the project has also seen the services of James Darcy to play the role of Anthony Perkins, a.k.a Norman Bates in the movie Johansson is set to appear in the Blockbuster The Avengers.
