George Lucas is set to come out of retirement late next year in a reboot of sorts for the original Star Wars trilogy. A new extended cut for The Empire Strikes back will be released as well as slightly different versions of a new hope and Jedi. Lucas wh recently retired from blockbusters has stated in the past that he was tired of getting lambasted by the fans for his continuing tinkering and improvement of the saga. Apparently he's trying to make it right, one last time with the fans who have helped him build his empire. The extended cut will feature some never before seen footage as well as cleaned up and digitally modified versions of what was on last years bluray release. if rumours are to be believed the extended cut of Empire could reach we.l beyond the 180 minute mark. Insiders speculate that these versions of the much loved movie saga are being produced to tie in with the long awaited live action tv show.Apparently they will be the 3d versions that are due in cinemas from 2015.
