Back in the late 90’s when Channing Tatum dropped out of a football scholarship, he began working as a stripper under the name of “Chan Crawford”. In 2010, he told a newspaper that he’d like to make a movie about his experiences, and wanted Nicolas Winding Refn to direct it. And while Refn isn’t behind the camera for Magic Mike, the equally talented Steven Soderbergh is.
This has the power to be huge. After all, it seems ultimately chick friendly, and with a poptasticular soundtrack and bulging muscles, this could well do huge business. The first trailer is below, and as a bonus, a video of “Chan Crawford” back in the day doing his thang!
Synopsis: An upstart male stripper is taken under the wing of a more experienced colleagues.
Released: June 29th (USA) July 13th (IRE / UK)
