Hoping to repeat the chemistry they showed in The Other Guys, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrel are to star together again in 3 Mississippi. The movie will tell the story of two families and their feud stemming from an annual game of touch football that has been going on for 50 years. It's probably no surprise that the actors are attached to play the heads of the opposing families.
Sean Anders and John Morris, who have received screenwriting credits on Hot Tub Time Machine, She's Out Of My League, and Mr. Poppers Penguins, have signed on to re-write the script, which is also known as Turkey Bowl. Anders is also on board to direct, after making his debut with Sex Drive (which I really dug), and working on the upcoming Adam Sandler/Andy Samberg comedy That's My Boy. The project, originally set up in May 2011, had floundered for a while, but has now received a shot in the arm with Anders and Morris coming on board. Production is slated to start in September.
