Having obliterated it with a gigantic laser in Independence Day, and crushed it with a tidal wave/aircraft carrier combo in 2012, director Roland Emmerich is returning to wreck shop in the White House once again with White House Down. He is talks to helm the movie, working from a script by Zodiac, Amazing Spider-Man and the Total Recall remake writer James Vanderbilt. The film will focus on 'a paramilitary takeover of the White House', and has been compared to Die Hard. But to me it sounds more like Air Force One minus the plane.
