Novelist James Patterson's Police detective and psychologist Alex Cross has already been portrayed on the big screen by Morgan Freeman in Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider. But the time has come for a reboot, and start of a possible franchise, and now we have the trailer for Rob Cohen's Alex Cross, with Tyler Perry in the title role.
It does show a lot of promise, but I'm not completely sold on Perry, who isn't that well known outside of America, mainly because I haven't really seen him in anything else before. Matthew Fox, on the other hand, really surprised me with a complete transformation in look and character than what we are used to from him.
Synopsis: After Washington DC detective Alex Cross is told that a family member has been murdered, he vows to track down the killer. He soon discovers that she was not his first victim and that things are not what they seem.
