Warner Bros. are finally teaming up their two most famous characters on the big screen, but not in the way you'd expect. The two are set to make an appearance in LEGO: Piece Of Resistance, the studio's upcoming animated feature based on the popular toy brand. Written and directed by Michael Lord and Christopher Miller ( the geniuses behind the awesome Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs), with Robot Chicken's Chris McKay co-directing, the film is planned as mix of live action and lego-style animation, and sees ordinary Lego figure Emmet (Chris Pratt, currently seen in The Five Year Engagement) mistaken for The MasterBuilder, and tasked with stopping an evil tyrant from gluing the world together.
There is no word on how big a part the DC Superheroes will play, but Will Arnett has signed on to voice Batman, while Channing Tatum is currently being wooed to voice Superman, but has not yet committed due to a very busy schedule.
Lego owns many movie licenses, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Pirates Of The Caribbean, so if the appearance of Superman and Batman is any indication, this film could end up like a Lego version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Which would be just awesome.
