Next Summer we are due to sees Carey Mulligan star in The Great Gatsby and it has been reported that in early 2013 she is also due to appear in the Coen Brothers' folk music film Inside Llewyn Davis.
Despite the fact she isn’t due to appear in any further films this year, the Drive actress is working hard on other projects such as Nancy and Danny, a romantic thriller from Indian Paintbrush, the company behind Moonrise Kingdom James Marsh is to direct.
The story follows a fortune-craving woman in a small town who has given up on her big dreams in life. As a result she decides to win over an old high school beau by using a hapless man as a pawn in a get-rich-quick con. True to form with these type of stories, things go horribly wrong. The project is has been described as being quite similar to 1995 film To Die For which starred Nicole Kidman, a dark comedy that proved to be a springboard for success for the Australian actress, it is said that Mulligan fought hard in order to get the part and is hoping for a similar outcome. All in all it looks promising and as ever we’ll keep you posted.
