Back in May we were well impressed with Snow White And The Huntsman and after pulling in a respectable $389 million, it should come as no surprise that another instalment would be on the cards. Well, there is a surprise on the cards, and its that there won’t be a sequel, but a spin off, of sorts. And we’re not talking a Snow White spinoff either. It will be a Huntsman spinoff with Chris Hemsworth.
No word on why Kristen Stewart won’t be involved and its also unclear if Rupert Sanders will return to the directors chair either. According to a Universal spokeswoman “The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise”
One wonders has it got anything to do with the recent Stewart and Sanders scandal, where the director and star were swapping bodily fluids. As bizarre as that may seem, its even more bizarre that a studio would drive on with a sequel / spin off (whatever) without the main character. Afterall, we are all more aware of Snow White than the Huntsman aren’t we?
