J.J. Abram's has really been keeping things close to his chest with regards to the second installment of his Star Trek reboot, due for release in little under eight months. Pretty much all we really know about the story is that the Klingons make an appearance, and do not get me started on the secrecy surround Benedict Cumberbatch's character (Is he Khan or Gary Mitchell? Just tell us already!!). But finally we have some movement on the movie, with the confirmation of the title being Star Trek Into Darkness. It has been said this installment will be much darker, being the franchise's The Dark Knight. I guess putting 'Dark' into the title is the first step towards this.
At first I thought they were missing a colon, but apparently they're not. Reminds me of when they announced Batman Begins. Guess we'll see how well the title goes down in the coming weeks, when it is officially rolled out.
Released: 17th May 2013 (U.S./U.K./IRL)
