Max Landis, the writer of one the years big sleeper hits 'Chronicle', is having a bit of issue with the studio. Landis signed on back in march to pen the sequel, but today The Playlist has reported that 20th Century Fox isn't all to happy with what Landis has given them. The news arrives, somewhat surprisingly, from the screenwriter's own father, filmmaker John Landis.
“He wrote a sequel and it’s amazing," John Landis told the outlet, "and the studio read it and said, ‘We want ‘Chronicle’ again!’ And he said, ‘No, this is the sequel, it’s the evolution, and they said ‘No, we want that movie again!’ So it’s difficult, we’re dealing with a difficult business.’"
It would be a same to deliver the same movie again, I would love to see where Landis wants to go with his story and he better answer what the hell was in that cave!
