We’re going a bit Stark Crazy at the moment, tomorrow sees the trailer arrive and yesterday we had the teaser for the trailer (all 17 seconds of it) and now Disney have kindly sent over the Iron Man 3 Teaser Poster, which is below for your viewing pleasure. So, anyone think the new suit is a nano suit? It’s certainly a very poised Tony Stark, although the arm pieces…hell I don’t know. Is there a clue in the synopsis? What do you reckon?
UPDATE – Upon further rooting around, I’d hazard a guess that it IS the nano suit. Cast your mind back to this concept art – It was widely believed that the suit featured, was the actual nano suit. Now, take that and combine it with the poster below. Leg pieces on. Arm pieces (ok the concept art has one) on. Looks a bit similar. And through another source, which I won’t reveal, it’s pretty much a given that the new suit will feature in Iron Man 3. Then again….
UPDATE 2 – Had a message from another “source” who says it IS the Nano suit. So there! Hooray! And so on.
UPDATE 3 - Thanks to Niall from Scannain for confirming it is the suit. He witnessed it for himself at Movie Fest earlier this year.
Synopsis: Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.
Released: April 26, 2013 (UK&IRE) / May 3rd (USA)
