Coming across slightly like a rock star version of The Wrestler, Imagine is the directorial debut of screenwriter Dan Fogelman (Fred Claus, Tangled, and Crazy, Stupid, Love). Al Pacino takes the lead role of Danny Collins, an aging rocker, who was big in the 70's, who can't let go of his hard living life style. But his life is changed when he finds a letter to him John Lennon, sent to him when he was 19, which forces him to straighten out his life and reconnect with the son he never knew. Jeremy Renner has joined the cast as Danny's son, as has Julianne Moore, playing the owner of the hotel Danny calls home.
Filming begins early next year. No release date has been given as of yet.
