The story is still hot. You know the one, Disney buying Lucasfilm. But what does it mean from a Star Wars perspective? Well, how about Star Wars Episode 7. How about it indeed. It’s going to be in cinemas in 2015, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant and Kathleen Kennedy will be executive producer. And while it’s unlikely to continue on from the current Episode 6, it could be a complete rebirth of the Star Wars franchise as Disney plans to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years in the future.
Now whether this is a good thing or bad thing, who knows?
The Star Wars universe is quite precious to alot of people (and for some far too precious) and considering what Disney did with Marvel and Pixar (ie leave shit alone) I wouldn’t be leaving the galaxy anytime soon. And as a life long Star Wars fan (like many of you) I can’t just help be a little bit excited about the possibility of seeing the Falcon taking flight again!
