The Top Gun sequel, due to the untimely death of the legend that is Tony Scott, is as many people would have guessed, grounded. The proposed sequel would have saw a re-release of the original Top Gun in 3D, to moisten the appetite of movie goers young and old for a new outing on the big screen. As it stands, Legend3D, have already converted the movie and Paramount now have the final product in their hands.
It remains to be seen whether or not this will be released, but considering it’s one of Tony Scotts finest works, I wouldn’t assume people would see it as exploitive. As a matter of fact, it should surely serve as a glowing tribute to the late director. And movie fans would relish the notion of seeing those F-14s on a big screen, keeping in mind that many have never witnessed the movie on a big screen.
But, what do you think? Would you feel the need for speed again? This time with 3D glasses? Leave your comments below.
