WE SAID: 21 Jump Street, while not without its flaws, is downright hilarious and full of clever touches, many of which include explosions. Incidentally, the credits are nearly as good as the movie itself, and it’s quite obvious that an extended / uncut home version will arrive. Overall 21 Jump Street is a must watch and doesn’t disappoint! Bring on the sequel!

WE SAID: Despite my earlier misgivings, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter proved to an entertaining and fun movie, exactly what you want from a summer blockbuster

WE SAID: While it runs the risk of being overcooked, American Reunion reminds you why it tasted so good all those years ago. This slice of pie is certainly damn tasty. Check it out!

WE SAID: I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed this movie, great cast, great acting, great story and great directing. Do yourself a favour after you finish reading this head down to the cinema and see this movie, I promise you won't regret it.
MOVIE: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE (OR THE AVENGERS)

WE SAID: The Avengers is a phenomenal cinematic experience, delivering engaging and hilarious characters with breath taking action coupled with a super script. This is one of the most entertaining films you will see this year and without doubt, the best Marvel movie to date. The Avengers is an experience not to be missed.

WE SAID: In the way that fairy tales of yore cemented themselves for future generations, Brave does the exact same. It really is the first digital fairy-tale and is simply wonderful. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

WE SAID: If you fancy a pretty unique experience, or even a night at the theatre, then go to your local cinema and check out Carnage. It’s incredibly sharp, intelligent and very, very refreshing. And in any case, it's worth it for the puking scene alone.

WE SAID: Plot holes and shortcomings aside, Chronicle does actually work and it brings something different to the found footage genre. At times it’s thrilling and it’s finale is spectacular. Definitely worth a watch.

WE SAID: Frankenweenie might be a little dark for very young kids, but everyone else will love it, especially the nods to Frankenstein and Mary Shelly, amidst plenty more including many characters’ names. This is one of Tim Burton’s finest works and comes highly recommended. Check out this visual masterpiece NOW!

WE SAID: This is a fantastic film, ably written and directed, with some great turns from a very talented group of actors. Well worth a watch

WE SAID: While Gambit won’t be for everybody (especially the younger / teen audiences), I was very pleasantly surprised. Gambit offers a solid night of entertainment in the cinema with some brilliantly thought out scenes, and while not a masterpiece, it certainly paints a rather excellent picture.

WE SAID: Prepare to get sucked into the world of Ice Hockey. Prepare to get emotionally involved in a movie that will have you on the edge of your seat in the final quarter. Prepare to laugh, cheer and want to start punching some heads! Goon is thoroughly enjoyable and is a must watch. Pucking Brilliant!

WE SAID: Overall Grabbers is a genuine turning point for Irish cinema in look and style. That aside, as a movie its hilarious, incredibly well written and superbly shot and offers a great nights entertainment. Truly Tentacular!!!!!

WE SAID: How I Spent My Summer Vacation is incredibly watchable, enjoyable and damn entertaining. Mel Gibson is back and this is certainly worth a watch!

WE SAID: Killing Them Softly is very watchable with a number of brilliant (and at times laugh out loud) scenes and likeable characters. While it would have benefitted from a longer running time and more character development, it is most definitely worth your time to check it out.

WE SAID: And while it’s weak point is LeBeouf, there’s more than enough here to give a very solid night of entertainment. Hardy and Pearce are worth the price of admission alone. A definite watch.

WE SAID: ParaNorman is a fantastic movie, brought to life with a script that is better than any script for a kids movie has the right to be, and impressive visuals that prove that not every cartoon has to be done on a computer. A movie that should be seen by just about everybody.

WE SAID: Premium Rush isn’t quite the rush you’d imagine, primarily because theres too much of a good thing going on with far too much biking. I know what you’re saying. What do you expect from a movie about bike couriers? Fair point, but audiences can get bored at looking at nearly the same thing for 90 odd minutes.Still though, Premium Rush has a fabulous look to and the way the narrative is presented is quite clever and thoroughly engaging. Shortcomings aside, Premium Rush offers up a decent slice of entertainment and is certainly worth a watch.
MOVIE: PROJECT X

WE SAID: If you fancy an absolute and utter no brainer then Project X is just what the doctor ordered.
MOVIE: PROMETHEUS

WE SAID: This is a truly impressive film, and shows that Ridley Scott still has what it takes to deliver outstanding pieces of cinema. Stop what you are doing, and just go see it.
MOVIE: RISE OF THE GUARDIANS

WE SAID: An extremely fun and unique trip to the cinema, there is enough here to keep the kids, and the big kids, happy for two hours or so. Well worth the watch!
MOVIE: ROCK OF AGES

WE SAID: Besides the humour, the baboon and the fantastic singing, there’s enough errect nipples, sexy bottoms and crotch shots here to really get the pulse racing. Simply put, Rock Of Ages is the feel good movie of the year. The cast are fantastic and Tom Cruise is worth the admission price alone. From somebody who hates musicals, this is (deep breath)….A MUST SEE. Rock Of Ages will make you fall in love with Rock ‘N Roll again. Fantastic!

WE SAID: A unique and touching take on the well worn romantic comedy formula, Ruby Sparks is well worth parting with you hard earned cash for. I just hope it takes you less time to fully appreciate it than it for me.

WE SAID: Overall I would say it’s definitely one to watch, you won’t be disappointed and at 115 minutes it didn’t feel too long or drawn out I found it very entertaining. While it’s not to the standard of a Bond or a Bourne movie it is well worth a look, an excellent flick, go see it.

WE SAID: A smart and superbly crafted black comedy, Seven Psychopath's delivers on what McDonagh achieved with In Bruges. Full of great performances and wonderful moments, this adds up to an extremely entertaining night at the cinema.

WE SAID: This movie will just climb into your mind, and melt it. I really can’t say enough good things about this amazing piece of cinema. Shame is a haunting, hypnotic and incredibly surreal cinema going experience. Just mind-blowing. This is an ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH!

WE SAID: Ted just falls short of full marks, but is genuinely hilarious and while it may offend some of the more conservative types, the rest of you prepare for mayhem. MacFarlane has a great knack of pushing the envelope in Family Guy. In Ted, he burns the envelope to the ground. Ted is the comedy of the year, paws down!
MOVIE: THE CABIN IN THE WOODS

WE SAID: I found this to be an outstanding film. Smart, original, and equal parts funny and scary. It might not be to everyones tastes, but for fans of the horror genre, or those looking for something different, this cabin is definitely worth a visit.
MOVIE: THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY

WE SAID: While not terrible, I have to hand it to them for a twist that gives Lucia and Will's relationship something above the usual love on the run cliches, and a climactic car chase livens up proceedings somewhat, The Cold Light Of Day just doesn't do enough to hold your attention and suffers because of it.
MOVIE: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

WE SAID: .From the get go, The Dark Knight Rises grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let you go until the very end. This is one of the movies of the year. It is simply a phenomenal cinematic experience. A must see!
MOVIE: THE GREY

WE SAID: The Grey is thoroughly enjoyable with a top notch, intense performance from Neeson. The bad ass wolves are worth the price of admission alone. Go see it!
MOVIE: THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

WE SAID: This movie is an incredibly passionate labour of love for Peter Jackson. Along with his team, they have delivered here big time and while not without its flaws, The Hobbit: An Unexpected journey is beautiful, breath taking and simply stunning. This is essential viewing. Next December can not come quick enough!
MOVIE: THE HUNGER GAMES

WE SAID: I’d hazard a guess for fans of the book, this will be an awesome experience as their favourite characters are brought to life on the big screen, and for people who think it’s about Pac-Man or plumpy nut, The Hunger Games offers a decent slice of thrilling entertainment. The odds are certainly in its favour!

WE SAID: Definitely worth a watch, but will not be everyone’s cup of tea.

WE SAID: Anderson has really crafted something special here, if not, at times, a bit odd. But I can't stop thinking about it, some outbursts had me wondering alright but if anything they seemed to drag me in more and more. I think this film isn't for everyone, but if you have been a fan of Anderson this is a must see!

WE SAID: The magic of Jim Henson lives on, especially through Kermit and The Muppets. This is an absolute must watch and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

WE SAID: There’s a great pace to this and it genuinely is a funny, feel good movie. If you’re a Stooges fan this is a MUST see and even if you’re not, leave the brain at the door and see a fantastic tribute to the men who really defined slapstick! More Nyuk, Nyuk than Yuk, Yuk. Give it a go, you’ll be surprised.

WE SAID: At times it’s beautiful and it’s subplots of family and young love run quite well. We Bought A Zoo is a welcome relief from superheroes and gigantic robots. It wears it’s heart on its sleeve and it incredibly watchable.

WE SAID: While not terrible, I have to hand it to them for a twist that gives Lucia and Will's relationship something above the usual love on the run cliches, and a climactic car chase livens up proceedings somewhat, The Cold Light Of Day just doesn't do enough to hold your attention and suffers because of it.

WE SAID: .From the get go, The Dark Knight Rises grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let you go until the very end. This is one of the movies of the year. It is simply a phenomenal cinematic experience. A must see!

WE SAID: The Grey is thoroughly enjoyable with a top notch, intense performance from Neeson. The bad ass wolves are worth the price of admission alone. Go see it!

WE SAID: This movie is an incredibly passionate labour of love for Peter Jackson. Along with his team, they have delivered here big time and while not without its flaws, The Hobbit: An Unexpected journey is beautiful, breath taking and simply stunning. This is essential viewing. Next December can not come quick enough!

WE SAID: I’d hazard a guess for fans of the book, this will be an awesome experience as their favourite characters are brought to life on the big screen, and for people who think it’s about Pac-Man or plumpy nut, The Hunger Games offers a decent slice of thrilling entertainment. The odds are certainly in its favour!

WE SAID: Anderson has really crafted something special here, if not, at times, a bit odd. But I can't stop thinking about it, some outbursts had me wondering alright but if anything they seemed to drag me in more and more. I think this film isn't for everyone, but if you have been a fan of Anderson this is a must see!

WE SAID: The magic of Jim Henson lives on, especially through Kermit and The Muppets. This is an absolute must watch and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

WE SAID: It’s rare for a review to be so short on this here website but the movie is just that damn good, words are nearly pointless. Go see it at least TWICE. It’s AWESOME! Not only is this one of the movies of the year, The Raid is one of the greatest action movies in the history of cinema.

WE SAID: It is very much a throwback to the classic horror tale and I for one only hope it leads to a new batch of horror films in this style, the long and the short of it all if you are going to part with your hard earned cash in the next few weeks to see a film this is one that will not disappoint.

WE SAID: There’s a great pace to this and it genuinely is a funny, feel good movie. If you’re a Stooges fan this is a MUST see and even if you’re not, leave the brain at the door and see a fantastic tribute to the men who really defined slapstick! More Nyuk, Nyuk than Yuk, Yuk. Give it a go, you’ll be surprised.
MOVIE: WE BOUGHT A ZOO

WE SAID: At times it’s beautiful and it’s subplots of family and young love run quite well. We Bought A Zoo is a welcome relief from superheroes and gigantic robots. It wears it’s heart on its sleeve and it incredibly watchable.

WE SAID: Beautifully shot by Abrahmson, this film is an examination of how one deals with tragedy that they ultimately brought upon themselves. Powerful and thought provoking, it is a masterpiece.
