Die Hard fans rejoice!!! The powers to be have seen fit to bestow an R rating (16/18 in Ireland) on Johns Mclane's fifth (and probably not last) bad day, meaning Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney (playing McClane Jnr) are free to curse and rain blood across the screen, as should be the case in a Die Hard movie. The fourth installment, which I very much enjoyed, gets a lot of flack for being more sanitised than the rest, even robbing Bruce of his iconic 'Yippee-Ki-Yay Mother F***er" line (yes, I get the irony of me censoring that), so this new rating should bring with it the old school spirit of the originals.
Synopsis: Bruce Willis returns in his most iconic role as John McClane - the "real" hero with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing. This time the take-no-prisoners cop is really in the wrong place at the wrong time after traveling to Moscow to help his estranged son Jack. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
