Loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's experiences as an up-and-coming actor, the HBO t.v. series Entourage ran for eight years, ending in 2011, garnering immense critical acclaim, and picking up a slew of awards for it's humourous look behind the scenes of Hollywood, told through the eyes of A-list movie star Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier), and his small group of child hood friends who followed him out to Hollywood to live the good life. The show is famous for it's celebrity guests, having at least one per episode and playing themselves, which included James Cameron, Jessica Alba, Peter Jackson, Matt Damon, and Gary Busey. After being rumoured long before the series finished, it is now coming to the big screen, with all of the cast expected to return. So for fan's of the show: yes, Jeremy Piven will once again be back in his iconic role as talent agent Ari Gold. His expletive laden rants were some of the show's highlights.
The film will be directed by the shows creator Doug Ellin, who also takes on producer duties with Wahlberg, and will take place six months after the end of the final episode. No release has release date has been given as of yet.
