Frank Darabont rewriting Godzilla

SHARE:

Frank Darabont has been brought in to do a final rewrite of Gareth Edwards Godzilla, which is due to start shooting in March. From The Shawshank Redemption to The Green mile and a plethora of other movies under his writing belt, I wonder how he will get on with something like Godzilla, which is a million miles away from the genres that Darabont is more used to writing. Still though, the dude is top notch and this can only be a good thing.

I genuinely can't wait to see what Gareth Edwards will do with Godzilla, especially considering what he achieved with Monsters on a limited budget (he did the visual FX himself). Godzilla could end up being spectacularly spectacular. It's just a shame we have to wait until 2014 to see it! Here's hoping a teaser will be released before the Summer!!!
