James Franco is set to direct and star in a biopic about a visionary hair stylist by the name of Jay Sebring. The mooted project entitled “Beautiful People” tells the story of the genius stylist who mingled with the big names of the day before tragically being killed alongside girlfriend Sharon Tate by member’s of the infamous Manson cult led by Charles Manson back in the 1960’s. Sebring who styled the hairdo’s of such legendary actors as Paul Newman lived and worked on esteemed projects like The Fearless Vampire Killers with Roman Polanski and is said to have had a hand in launching the career of Bruce Lee. Franco is currently in attendance at The Sundance Film Festival promoting a number of projects. Among those are another biopic “Lovelace” about the former porn star turned anti-pornography spokesperson who died in 2002.
