In 1965, Bruce Lee had a martial arts duel with martial arts teacher Master Wong Jack Man. It was a private duel, no holds barred, witnessed by only a handful of people, and wasn't recorded. It has since passed into legend, with no decisive account existing. Depending on who you talk to it lasted anywhere from 3 to 25 minutes, some say Lee dominated, others Wong Jack Man was the out and out winner. The only solid piece of information we have from it is that soon after Bruce Lee created his own fighting style, Jeet Kune Do. Now this legendary event is getting the Hollywood treatment with Birth Of the Dragon (in no way affiliated with 1993's Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story), from a script by Al and Nixon scribes Stephen Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson. This won't be your straight biopic though, as it will be using the events from that time as a spring board to an action movie scenario with the pair teaming up to take on ruthless gangsters in 1960's San Farncisco. The project is only in the development stage, with no actors or director attached.
