Production is set to begin on Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the coming months, and the casting process is entering its final stages, with probably the coolest piece of casting being saved for last. Deadline are reporting that Robert Redford is in talks to star as a senior ranking member of S.H.I.E.L.D, and considering Marvel Studio's habit of locking actors into contracts for multiple Marvel films, we might see him in a few movies on the studio's slate. The Winter Soldier, which see's Chris Evan's Cap come face to face with his long thought dead buddy Bucky (Sebastian Stan) reborn as the titular assassin, has being described as a political thriller, which suits Redford down to the ground.
