It was one of the best comedies of last year (earning $202 million worldwide), and while a follow up 21 Jump Street was put into development before the original came out, we now have our first indication of when we will actually see it. Announcing their slate of movies for 2014 at Cinemacon, Sony Pictures revealed a sequel to the Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill starring comedy is on the card for next year, but didn't go as far as to specify a date. We don't know much else about it, other than Hill and Michael Bacall will again provide the script, but no doubt Hill and Tatum will return as Schmidt and Jenko. Production is likely to begin later this year.
