Matthew Vaughn's comic book adaption The Secret Service (described as "James Bond meets My Fair Lady" by writer Mark Millar) is starting to shape up, with word Colin Firth is in talks to take the lead role of a super spy who becomes a mentor to his slacker nephew in ways of espionage. The character, known only as Uncle Jack, is the height of British sophistication. We can see why Firth has been approached for the role (it's all he can do really), but he's also a bit of a bad ass, so I hope the actors fighting skills have come a long way since Bridget Jones Diary.
The Secret Service is set for release November 14th 2014
