Cinemacon is on at the minute (basically think comic con with less cos-play for cinema owners) and Disney have announced that from 2015 we’ll have a new Star Wars movie EVERY summer (possibly forever, they don’t have an end date). Things will kick off in 2015 with Episode VII directed by JJ Abrams and then the following year we’ll have a spin off movie (like a Boba Fett movie for example) and then the next year it’ll be Episode VIII and so on.
For Star Wars fans (like myself) this is potentially good news, but I’ll be throwing my lightsaber caution to the wind. That’s a serious workload and to turn out movies year after year for the industry’s biggest franchise is a serious gamble. Here’s hoping things don’t get diluted.
