With Iron Man 3 about to explode into cinema screens this week (on this side of the pond at least) lets not forget about Thor. With Marvel ramping things up big time since The Avengers (which, lets face it was pretty damn big) they've just dropped the first teaser trailer for Thor The Dark World. You can check it out below (or click the trailer to watch it in HD over on Apple). Huge feeling of scale here and Natalie Portman goes on holiday with Thor to somewhere she's never been! Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Thor be it in comic or film form. However this does look pretty decent and of course the ol Norse God will capitalise on his popularity since The Avengers, where arguably he was introduced to far wider audience than in his debut outing!
Synopsis: Marvel’s "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
Released: 8th November
