The movie adaption of classic 60's television show The Man From U.N.C.L.E has had a tough time on its way to the big screen. It's original director Steven Soderbergh dropped out due to budget and casting conflicts brought on my original star George Clooney backing out due to a recurring back injury. Before production on the movie could be cancelled, Guy Ritchie was brought on to direct with Tom Cruise signing on to take the lead role of Napolean Solo. Everything seemed to be going well, with Armie Hammer and Alica Vikander also signing on to star. But it has hit another snag, with Cruise announcing that he is dropping out of the movie to focus on Mission: Impossible 5. Warner Bros. are taking this set back in their stride, with the studio currently looking to recast the role with their eye still set on starting production in the Autumn.
