Originally Sandra Bullock had her eye on the role of Miss Hannigan, the mean spirited orphange matron, for Will Gluck's updated take on the classic musical Annie, but it seems the actress has passed on the project. Running into fill the vacant role is Cameron Diaz, who joins Quvenzhane Wallis, as the titular orphan, and Jamie Foxx, playing Daddy Warbucks. The film, produced by Will Smith and Jay Z, begins production in th Autumn for a christmas 2014 release.
