Warner Bros. will be giving us our first look at the trailer for 300 sequel, Rise of an Empire, tomorrow, but for now they have sent over this new poster, featuring Sullivan Stapleton's Themistocles in heroic pose #1,098. If the tidal wave of blood wasn't any indication, naval battles play a big part in the sequel, which takes place alongside the original, offering us something a bit different this time round.
Synopsis: This new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise Of An Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
Released: 7th March 2014
