David S. Goyer has put a big ol’ pussycat amongst the pigeons. Speaking on a Superman anniversary panel, the Man Of Steel writer said he believes that the film will not be called Man Of Steel 2. Instead, Goyer said that it will be either Batman vs. Superman of Superman vs. Batman.
Whether or not this comes to fruition we’ll see over time, but personally it sounds like a dodgy B movie with either version. But its quite obvious they’ll be some argy bargy between the two caped clad hereos. There is alot riding on this one for Warner and DC, especially with the Justice League movie coming down the tracks as well as a Flash movie just before that. Arguably Supes and Batman are the worlds biggest superheroes (sorry Marvel) and they need to be handled that way on screen. If not, it could well be a kryptonic blow to the entire DC Universe.
