Even though we haven't seen much of Korean director Bong Joon-Ho's English language debut, Snowpiercer, it has slowly become one of my highly anticipated movies of the year (if we get to see it on this side of the world this year). Based on the French graphic novel La Transperigne, it offers a very unique take on the usual end of the world scenario, with a new Ice age forcing humanity into a massive train, powered by a scared perpetual engine, where a viscous class war is brewing. Starring Chris Evans, John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton, Kang-ho Song, Octavia Spencer, and Ed Harris, the movie opens in Korea this August, with no plans for an international release made known yet. For now, we have this new international trailer to tide us over, giving us a great sense of what is in store.
