The inevitable film adaption of E.L. James' bestselling erotic novel, which started life as Twilight fan fiction, is set to begin production in November, with Nowhere Boy director Sam Taylor-Johnson at the helm, and after months of speculation the casting of the movies main pairing, that of billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anatasia Steele, has being revealed. Announced on James' Twitter page, Pacific Rim's Charlie Hunnam will be trading in the giant robots for BDSM gear to take on the role of Christian, while Dakota Johnson, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, and previously seen in The Social Network and The Five-Year Engagement will be playing Ana, the naive girl brought into Grey's sexually charged world.
Now, I haven't read the book, and don't really care about the movie, but from what I heard of what transpires, it will be very interesting to see what the pair and the director do with the material.
