A few months back, it was announced that the upcoming Terminator sequel, with a tentative shoot date of January, would in fact be a reboot, the first in a standalone trilogy. Not much is known about the plot at this stage, other than Arnold Schwarzenegger will again be appearing, but the movie is moving forward, with Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor in talks to helm. Best known for directing several episodes of Game of Thrones (most notably, the last two of season one and first two of season two), the Thor sequel is(set for release in October) his first blockbuster feature, mostly working on dramas like Palookaville and The Emperor's New Clothes pre GoT, and obviously something about it impressed Paramount enough to offer him the keys to the classic franchise.
Terminator is set for release June 26th 2015.
