The Kario Salem script has bee floating around for some time now and its looking like the Martin Luther King biopic is getting some traction. Jamie Foxx is in talks to play the great man himself and Oliver Stone will be firmly planted in the directors chair. Steven Spielberg will lend his name as producer for Dreamworks, who pick up the rights t the story in 2009, and interestingly enough the rights to the famous “I Have A Dream” speech as well.
The movie certainly seems to be in good hands with Stone and Salem. Both are award winners (Salem picked up an Emmy in 1997 as a writer on Don King: Only in America) and Stone has certainly proved his worth with other political movies such as JFK, Nixon and of course W.
