Michael Arndt as you might know has been replaced on Episode VII scripting duties. His replacement? J.J. Abrams (co writing with Lawrence Kasdan). But why did J.J. get out his keyboard? The director explained all today during a conference call about Almost Human, which he produces.
“It became clear that given the time frame and given the process and the way the thing was going that working with Larry in this way was going to get us where we need to be and when we needed to be”
