Calvary sees The Guard writer/director John Michael McDonagh team up once again with Brendan Gleeson, here playing a priest who must confront the darker aspects of his community after his life is threatened during confession. Seemingly a million miles away from the fun of The Guard, Calvary still has some humour running through, albeit of the darker variety, and the below trailer promises some cracking dialogue (the exchange on when it is deemed o.k. to kill is especially good) and an impressive cast, including Aiden Gillen, Dylan Moran, Chris O'Dowd, and Domhaill Gleeson.
