The highly anticipated The Raid 2 makes it's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival tonight, and to coincide with the screening, a new trailer for Gareth Edward's follow-up to his action classic will be released later today. To whet people's appetites, Yahoo! Movies have released a new image, featuring the type of martial arts madness we would expect from the movie, and a rather neat little gif highlighting the crazy action we can expect when the film is unleashed upon us in just a few months.

Synopsis: Immediately following the events of the original, The Raid 2 tracks Officer Rama as he is pressured to join an anti-corruption task force to guarantee protection for his wife and child. His mission is to get close to a new mob boss, Bangun, by befriending his incarcerated son, Uco. Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with corruption in the Jakarta Police Department while pursuing a dangerous and personal vendetta that threatens to consume him and bring his mission-and the organized crime syndicate-down around him.
