Video game to movie adaptions have always being tricky to get right, with mostly all of them failing to produce anything close to good. But 20th Century Fox have high hopes for Assassin's Creed, based on the smash hit franchise from Ubisoft, which takes the players on a tour through history as the member of an ancient order of assassins trying to protect the future of the world. Michael Fassbender is already signed on as producer and star, and it seems Fox now have a director, with reports that the studio is reaching out to Safe House helmer Daniel Espinosa. There is nothing concrete yet, but with production said to be gearing up in the coming months, for an August 7th 2015 release date, expect to hear confirmation sooner rather than later.
