With JJ Abrams reported to start production by the end of the month, expect to hear a lot of rumbling on the casting front in the coming weeks. First up is reports that the lead role is close to be cast, with actor Jesse Plemons said to be scheduled to meet with the director after a well received audition tape. Best known as Todd Alquist, debuting in the final season of Breaking Bad, Plemons has made appearances in a wide variety of movies, including Varsity Blues, Paul, and The Master. The role he is up for hasn't been revealed yet, but speculaution has already gone into overdrive, with some suggesting his resemblence to Mark Hamill (I don't see it myself) means he will be playing Luke Skywalker's son.
Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015.
